Zoe Bywater - Makeup Artist Telford

Q) Are you a qualified makeup artist?

Yes! I am pleased to announce I am qualified with the prestigious International Makeup Association.

Q) How long have you been a makeup artist for?

I have been doing makeup for many years. In 2017 I made the decision to leave my job and concentrate solely on my makeup business. Since then it has gone from strength to strength having done makeup on 100s of beautiful brides.

Q) Do you have a 'signature style'?

Like most MUAs develop their own signature style which they are known for and I do also have a particular style that I naturally lean towards. I like to perfect a clients skin and give them that flawless radiant base where the skin is not caked in makeup. I do feel that in particular a clients skin work is of most importance as it will make or break a look. However I am always willing listen to my clients and give them the look they desire.

Q) When should I book your services for my wedding day?

A. If your wedding day is in the main bridal months June - September and especially a weekend then it's advised to make contact early. These dates book up incredibly fast so to avoid disappointment you may need to enquire 12 months in advance.

Q) Do you have a minimum booking policy for weddings?

A. Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays in June, July, August and September have a minimum booking policy of Bride plus 3.

All other months and days are Bride plus 2.

Q) As a makeup artist in Telford is it only Telford you cover?

A. I am a makeup artist covering Shropshire. However I do travel throughout the UK. Most of my clients are based in Telford, Bridgnorth, Shrewsbury and Newport areas to name a few. Contact me to find out if i travel to your area.

Q. I don't wear make up so will I look over the top?

A. How you have your make up is totally up to you. I am here to advise you and help you choose a look for your individual needs. If you want to look natural but enhance your beauty a light application of makeup can make you look healthy and youthful.

Q. I'm getting married...why can't I do my own make up?

A. You can. Just bare in mind makeup for your wedding day is not everyday makeup. It needs to be long lasting, waterproof, suitable for flash photography. My makeup kit has cosmetics that I consider the best for individual needs. If you was to go to the shop and buy the same high quality products for your makeup you would be looking at spending at least £150 and that's without all my knowledge and skills. Also you may not want the extra stress on your big day. Its best to sit down, keep relaxed and let the professionals do the work!

Q. I've got oily skin, can I still wear make up or will it slide off my face?

A. This is the job of the professional make up artist. A good make up artist uses makeup to suit your individual needs. Together we will discuss your skin type and any issues you have or any concerns you have.

Q. I use a specific foundation which is good for my sensitive skin. Can I use my own makeup and will it change the cost?

A. Absolutely. You are free to bring along any make up you have which you feel works for you. The cost of the session will not change.

Q) What makeup brand do you use?

A. I do not use just one makeup brand. I have a large mixture of makeup brands in my kit as this way I can find the ideal makeup product for my clients individual needs. Makeup brands in my kit include but are not limited to

Charlotte Tilbury, Becca, Danessa Myricks, Anastasia Beverley Hills, Zoeva, Crowne, Morphe and Milani, Kiko Milano & Laura Mercier.

Q) I will only wear cruelty free makeup is this possible?

A) Yes! Please let me know before makeup application.

Q. Do you require a deposit?

A. A deposit is required to guarantee booking. Unfortunately a date and time slot can not be booked until a deposit is paid. Deposits are non refundable and non transferable. If you are a large party then one person will be responsible for payment. In the case of bridal parties the bride will be the named person on the contract and will be responsible to collect all monies owed from their party.

Q. How do I know which make up artist to choose for my wedding day?

A. You need to look at their photos of past clients. Make up artists can sometimes have their own style so have a look to see if what they create is to your taste. A trial makeup session is very important. You will firstly see if you like what the makeup looks like but also see if your skin like their products. I always listen to my clients requirements.

I am an award winning bridal makeup artist with experience, extensive training and top quality makeup products.

Q. If I've paid for my wedding make up can you quickly do my bridesmaids make up whilst you're here?

A. All make up needs to be pre booked. Price is per person and time slots need to be adhered to. There are numerous bookings in a day which cannot be changed. However if time permits I can do extra make up for the standard charge as shown on my price list.

Q. How do I pay for my makeup?

A. For your deposit you can pay by by bank transfer. Full balance is required 1 month before your wedding day.

Q) Do I need to sign a contract?

A. Terms and conditions will be emailed to you before you pay your deposit. If you agree to the terms and conditions paying your deposit will mean you have read and agree to these terms and conditions.

Q) Is it only bridal makeup you do?

A) I have been involved in London Fashion Week and I also do editorial makeup and have been published in Dreamingless magazine and Your West Midlands Wedding, The Sun Newspaper.

I am a published makeup for the worlds prestigious PhotoVogue.
